My career has always centred around people, communication and understanding what makes them tick.
I’m Sammy Saunders, founder of Marlow Matchmakers, relationship coach and matchmaker.
MY BACKGROUND
Understanding
people.
I began with an undergraduate degree in Politics, before spending more than ten years working in Parliament alongside senior Cabinet Ministers. It was a fascinating environment that taught me about how people communicate, what motivates them and how trust and understanding are built.
My interest in people and relationships eventually led me in a different direction. I completed a Postgraduate Psychology Conversion at the University of West London, followed by a postgraduate qualification in Relationship Coaching.
I have always loved conversation and been interested in how people connect: what draws them together, what gets in the way and why some relationships thrive while others don’t.
LIFE EXPERIENCE, TOO
I know what it is
to start again.
My understanding of relationships isn’t only academic or professional. It is personal too.
I was married for ten years. That marriage gave me incredible memories and a chapter of my life I will always value, but ultimately it didn’t work. I have been through divorce, and I am now remarried and part of a loving, busy blended family.
I understand heartbreak, and starting again when life hasn’t turned out as you expected. I know what it is to work out what you can accept, what you can’t, what you have learnt and what you want to do differently next time.
And I understand what it feels like to pick yourself back up and put yourself out there again.

As a relationship coach, I bring professional training and lived experience to conversations about your patterns, confidence, boundaries and the kind of relationship you want.
As a matchmaker, I know that finding a partner is about more than ticking boxes. Chemistry, values, compatibility, timing and personality all matter.
I created Marlow Matchmakers because I believe dating can be more personal, more considered and more human. Real people, thoughtful introductions and someone in your corner who understands how it can feel.
